A research into understanding the molecular mechanisms that enable plants to adapt to multiple environmental stresses.

"Project

The researches currently being done are shown below.

Plant adaptation mechanisms to nutrient stresses

Nutrient availability, in particular the availability of sugar (carbon, C) and nitrogen (N), is important in the regulation of plant metabolism and development. This has become an important issue related to changes in plant photosynthesis, biomass, crop yield, and associated with an increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration, which is a global environmental problem. We have identified several key components of these nutrient signaling and are developing advanced analysis of plant C/N response.

Keywords: Ubiquitin signal，Membrane trafficking，Live cell imaging

""

Flowering regulation by nutrients

Flowering is the important phase transition from vegetative growth to reproductive growth, which is modulated by multiple environmental stimuli. We are investigating the integration mechanism of nutrient signal and flowering regulation.

Keywords: Florigen，Transcription factors, Phosphorylation

""

Crosstalk between nutrient and plant immunity

Plants sense pathogen attack at cell surface by the pathogen receptor proteins and induce cellular defense response (ex. ROS burst, programmed cell death). We are investigating molecular mechanism modulating plant immunity under different nutrient conditions.

Keywords: Receptor kinases, Programmed cell death, Signal crosstalk
